Against the Stream Buddhist Meditation Society (ATS) has published a letter clarifying the teaching status of Frank Uyttebroeck, who had previously been teaching with ATS. According to the letter, in January 2017, ATS received complaints from female students of Uyttebroeck indicating “a pattern of sexual misconduct.”

After discussion with Uyttebroeck about possible paths forward, it was decided that he would not continue teaching with ATS. The letter reads, “Against the Stream has rescinded Frank’s empowerment to teach and he has agreed.”
