MCA-DAY “Buddhist Monks” from KNARF® New York on Vimeo.
MCA Day, the annual NYC celebration of late Beastie Boy, pro-Tibet activist, and Buddhist Adam Yauch made a special splash when a group of “breakdancing monks” appeared out of nowhere to promote the event. This newly released video tells the story of how those monks — not real monks, no, but serious dancers — came to draw attention to MCA Day, and went viral in the process.
