Daitsu Tom Wright lived in Japan for over forty years, teaching English and other subjects at Ryukoku University in Tokyo. He was ordained by Kosho Uchiyama Roshi as a Buddhist priest in 1974. Wright has translated multiple of Uchiyama Roshi’s works into English.
