devon and nico hase
devon and nico hase are Buddhist teachers and co-guides of the Refuge of Belonging community. Partners as well as co-authors, they teach with a candor that comes from having worked things out between themselves — the missed cues and repair, the humor, the slow learning to stay open — rather than from theory alone. Drawing on decades of study across the Insight and Tibetan Buddhist traditions, they are the authors of This Messy, Gorgeous Love: A Buddhist Guide to Lasting Partnership and How Not to Be a Hot Mess, and their work has appeared in Lion’s Roar, Tricycle, and Buddhadharma. Their work reaches past romantic partnership to every close bond (friends, family, sangha, oneself), treating relationship as one of the most vital forms of practice there is.
Plus, for Lion’s Roar members: devon and nico will share a live dharma talk together on how we can turn toward the people and relationships that matter most: partners, friends, family, community, and ourselves. Expect guided meditation, honest conversation, and practices you can carry straight into the next conversation that matters to you. That’s on Thursday, August 13th.
