Susan Piver
Susan Piver is the New York Times bestselling author of many books, including The Wisdom of a Broken Heart; The Four Noble Truths of Love: Buddhist Wisdom for Modern Relationships; The Buddhist Enneagram: Nine Paths to Warriorship, and Inexplicable Joy: On the Heart Sutra. A student of Buddhism since 1993, Susan graduated from a Buddhist seminary in 2004. In 2012, she founded The Open Heart Project, the world’s largest online-only dharma center.
When meditation is approached as a spiritual practice rather than a self-improvement plan, its esoteric fruits ripen. Join Susan each Wednesday for live meditations exploring meditation’s true heart — learning to be courageous, loving, and fiercely clear.
Plus, for Lion’s Roar members: Susan will discuss seven principles that invite the mind of awakening into our everyday lives and offer counterpoints to conventional wisdom around mindfulness. Drawing from her new book Inexplicable Magic: Meditation for Mystics, she’ll reveal how meditation can open us to the sacred, mysterious dimension of our own awareness. That’s on Thursday, June 18.
