Befriending Yourself

There’s a saying in Buddhism that goes something like this: pointing at the moon is not the same thing as touching it, even though it may look like our pointing finger scrapes the moon’s surface. Likewise, saying that you like yourself is not the same thing as truly befriending yourself.

As we approach the end of a trying year and the beginning of a time for reflection and renewal, join our December resident teacher, Pamela Ayo Yetunde, to explore the potential vitality that comes from the work of befriending ourselves and others through Buddhist practices.
